Ulrich Volz现任德国发展研究院高级经济学家，并任教于柏林自由大学研究生院，讲授国际金融及国际货币关系等相关课程。
曾在菲利普大学、英国肯特大学、伦敦大学、耶鲁大学及柏林自由大学学习经济学，并获得柏林自由大学经济学博士学位。在2007年加入德国发展研究院之前，Ulrich Volz曾任耶鲁大学的福克斯国际学者以及马克思卡特学者，并在汉堡国际经济研究所担任DekaBank研究员。Ulrich Volz曾任职于欧洲复兴开发银行及欧洲中央银行，并担任柏林自由大学德意志联邦基金会国际货币政策研究所任助理研究员，以及德国复兴信贷开发银行在越南河内的顾问。Ulrich Volz的研究主要集中于国际金融、货币及金融合作一体化、开放体系下的宏观经济学以及发展和转型经济学等方面。
This course discusses the current state of research on five topics in international finance. Topics that will be addressed include the costs and benefits of financial globalisation; exchange rate choices and implications for monetary policy autonomy; currency and debt crises; problems associated with global liquidity; and international currencies.
